Phil & Cheri McCutchen came to Bethany in 1988. They led the rebirth of a church that had been scheduled to close. When Pastor Phil & Cheri looked in the faces of the 7 in regular attendance they knew God had other plans. Phil and Cheri’s dream was to build a caring sharing fellowship of believers that made a positive impact on the community. Phil loves to teach for positive life change. His heartbeat is to help people see the next step that an awesome God has for them.

Cheri is a tremendous visionary especially in the area of Student Ministries. She has founded the Bethany Christian Academy a K-12 school where “Loving & Learning” go hand and hand. She also administrates a dynamic youth ministry team that has seen the youth ministry at Bethany literally explode in growth.

Both Pastor Phil and Cheri have a passion to see people connected to God and to one another. They believe that none of us have it all together but together we have it all. Phil and Cheri area also blessed with 3 children, Jason, Christi and Elyse.
